After attending the First Executive Council Meeting of the 10th APA Plenary Session, delegations have left Cambodia on October 4. At the Phnom Penh International Airport, Cambodian Parliamentarians and senior officials of the Secretariat General of the National Assembly sent the delegation off warmly the same as the welcoming arrival. This excellence hospitality made parliamentary delegations praised Cambodian parliament for their fraternity and friendship as well as the success of the First Executive Council Meeting.
Many APA members including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Syria, Cyprus, Kuwait, and Turkey and so on highly appreciated the Cambodian parliament and its people for a warm and safe hospitality during the meeting of many parliamentarian nations from APA members in the days during the First Executive Council Meeting.
Delegates, who had the opportunity to give comments at the closing ceremony of the First Executive Council Meeting, said that Cambodia's active contribution was to build a strong parliamentary working environment in order to tackle the challenges in the region and the world peacefully.
Please be informed that 26 member countries of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly attended the First Executive Council Meeting in the Kingdom of Cambodia from October 2 to 3, 2017. The meeting took place at the Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel and Residence. The meeting examined and discussed on 24 Draft Resolutions to be put in the next meeting in Turkey in the late 2017.
Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN, presided in the Inaugural Ceremony, said the good perspectives contributed into those Draft Resolutions could likely to be put in the national legislation of respective countries which provide the actual feedback happening in the region and global.
Asian Parliamentary Assembly, known as APA, is a parliamentary forum of Asia nations comprising of 42 countries. In the vision of peace building and sustainable development, APA has been continuing to fostering its role and duty base on the spirit of good solidarity and cooperation among each other.
