THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, PHNOM PENH, 25 SEPTEMBER, 2017
H.E. Leng Peng Long, Secretary of the secretariat-general of the National Assembly chaired a meeting to review the work outcome to prepare for the First Executive Council meeting of the 10th APA with the participation of Vice-Secretary, Director-General, Director of department and related official staff members, on 25 September 2017 at the National Assembly palace.
The National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia is scheduled to organize the First Executive Council Meeting in the early October 2017, from 1-4 October 2017, at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel and Residence, in capital Phnom Penh.
H.E. Prum Virak, Director-General of International Relations, Information and Protocol, said that the IR department had already prepared documents for the leaders and delegations attending the first executive council meeting. Moreover, the composition of the delegates to attend the meeting, to date, has a total of 117, including two National Assembly Presidents and two Speakers of the Senate of the APA’s members who will attend the meeting. A draft of the 24 draft resolutions will also be discussed during this First Executive Council Meeting of Asian Parliamentary Assembly.
Following the remarks by H.E. Director-General of International Relations, Protocols and Information, as well as the reports from other relevant officials, H.E. Leng Peng Long, Secretary General of the National Assembly, thanked and expressed his appreciation to relevant leaders and official staff members for their efforts and attempts to actively participate in the work for the National Assembly as well as other preparations for the success of the National Assembly’s meetings and activities. He strongly believed that through these tireless efforts, the upcoming First Executive Council Meeting will surely continue to achieve success.
