Phnom Penh, 08 Oct 2024 – Samdech President of the Cambodian National Assembly, warmly welcomed His Excellency Mr. Derek Yip, the newly appointed Australian Ambassador to Cambodia, at the National Assembly Palace.

In her remarks, Samdech congratulated Ambassador Yip on his new appointment and highlighted the strong bilateral relationship and historical friendship between Cambodia and Australia. Samdech noted that their cooperation has yielded remarkable results in areas such as development assistance, healthcare, education, trade, and cultural exchange.

Samdech emphasized that people-to-people contact and heart-to-heart relations are the foundation for the enhancement of the bilateral relation and cooperation between our two countries. We strive to inspire and fulfill the dreams of our people for peace, security, prosperity and development in both nations.
