Kuala Lumpur, 18 September 2025 — Cambodian National Assembly President Samdech Khuon Sudary on Thursday morning paid a courtesy call on Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr.) Johari Bin Abdul, President of the 46th AIPA and Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives.

Dr. Johari welcomed the heads of AIPA member parliaments, the AIPA Secretary-General, and the ASEAN Deputy Secretary-General, saying their participation reflected solidarity, friendship and strong cooperation within the AIPA and ASEAN family in promoting peace, stability and prosperity.

Samdech Khuon Sudary praised Malaysia’s preparations and hospitality, describing the organization of AIPA-46 as an important contribution to dialogue under the ASEAN spirit and to building a peaceful, stable and prosperous community. She affirmed that ASEAN and AIPA play a central role in safeguarding peace and prosperity in the region and beyond.

The 46th AIPA General Assembly, hosted by Malaysia under the theme “Parliament at the Forefront for Inclusive Growth and Sustainable ASEAN”, is being held from 17 to 21 September 2025.
