Phnom Penh, 8 January 2026 — Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on Thursday received H.E. Mohammed Ismaeil A. Dahlwy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Cambodia, who paid a courtesy call and farewell upon the completion of his diplomatic mission.

She noted that Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, previously paid a visit to Saudi Arabia, while Honourable Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council of Saudi Arabia, also conducted an official and friendly visit to Cambodia in 2025.

Samdech Khuon Sudary noted that bilateral cooperation has achieved positive results based on mutual trust, respect and understanding, while significant potential remains for expanding cooperation in trade, tourism, and education.

She also encouraged efforts to promote direct flights between the two countries, noting that improved air connectivity would facilitate tourism, investment, and business exchanges. She highlighted the recent operation of Techo International Airport and expressed hope that direct flights would be launched in the future.
For his part, Ambassador Dahlwy thanked Samdech Khuon Sudary for receiving him and briefed her on key outcomes of his three-year tenure. He expressed appreciation for the cooperation extended by Cambodian institutions and voiced confidence in the continued development of bilateral relations.
