Phnom Penh, 10 July 2026 — The Secretariat-General of the National Assembly on Friday morning concluded the first phase of a five-day training course on the Use of the e-Parliament System, marking another milestone in advancing digital transformation and building a modern, efficient, and transparent parliamentary administration.
Addressing the closing ceremony, H.E. Khuon Davith, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Assembly, described the programme as an important step in equipping officials with the knowledge and practical skills needed to support the Secretariat-General's modernization.
He expressed appreciation to H.E. Leng Peng Long, Secretary-General of the National Assembly and Chair of the Executive Working Group for the e-Parliament Initiative, who presided over the opening ceremony on Monday, for his continued leadership and strong support in advancing the initiative.
H.E. Khuon Davith said the e-Parliament initiative, launched in late 2024, has continued to make steady progress through the collective commitment of the Secretariat-General.
He noted that while e-Parliament is often associated with electronic legislative procedures, Cambodia's vision goes much further, aiming to integrate the entire parliamentary workflow and the Secretariat-General's administrative operations into a comprehensive digital system.
Emphasizing the importance of local innovation, he said, "Our input is crucially important to continue developing our system, as we cannot simply apply what other countries have created without adapting it to our own context."
He encouraged participants, as future users of the platform, to apply the knowledge gained in their daily work, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to its continuous improvement.
According to a summary report presented by Mr. Chea Sambo, Deputy Director-General of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), the training attracted 92 in-person participants and 114 Zoom accounts, including leaders, administrative officials, focal officers, and assistants from across the Secretariat-General.
The programme covered five core e-Parliament modules: system access and security, profile management, electronic leave management, meeting management, and asset and vehicle management. Through practical exercises and discussions, participants developed the skills to confidently use the platform in their daily work and serve as trainers for their colleagues.
Concluding the ceremony, H.E. Khuon Davith encouraged participants to put their newly acquired knowledge and skills into practice, strengthening institutional performance and advancing the Secretariat-General's vision of a modern, efficient, transparent, and trusted digital Parliament in line with the Royal Government's Pentagonal Strategy – Phase I.
